Upcoming Men's Club Breakfast Speakers and Topics
Feb 1, 2026 -- Faith Wight -- Did you know the world renown artist Chagall was Jewish, as well as contemporary artists Taacov Agam and Judy Chicago? Please join CBC's own Faith Wight in exploring their work and significant contributions they each have made to the world of art. Faith is a volunteer educator assistant and docent at the Grounds for Sculpture in Hamilton and taught basic Hebrew and Bible studies to 3rd and 4th graders at Temple Micah for 19 years. Faith has a unique understanding about how these artists were influenced by their Jewish upbringing and will share with us these artists' most famous masterpieces.
Mar 1, 2026 -- Patricia Schneider -- When we think of anxiety today, we often imagine it as a clinical or private experience - something to be treated, managed, or hidden. But in the Jewish Bible, anxiety is not hidden at all. It is sacredly exposed. The Toah and the Prophets show us the trembling moments of our ancestors: Abraham afraid, Jacob sleepless, Hannah weeping, Elijah exhausted. In each of these stories, anxiety becomes not an obstacle to faith but its very ground - the place where human vulnerability meets divine presence. Please join our own Patricia Schneider to help see in these ancient narratives the beginnings of a spiritual psychology - one that speaks to our contemporary struggles with depth, courage, and compassion. Dr Patricia Schneider, is a Licensed Clinical Psychologist, and Frommian Psychoanalyst, who trained in Switzerland, Mexico City at the institute that Dr Erich Fromm founded in Mexico City, and in the USA. She holds a PHD in Clinical Psychology and a postdoctoral specialization in Frommian Psychoanalysis. She has worked in clinical, and hospital settings with mainly adult patient populations of varying ethnicities, cultural, racial, linguistic, and diagnostic characteristics, and in corporate and pharmaceutical settings assessing the impact of varying doses of psychotropic medication on differing levels of symptom severities. She currently is in private practice.
